CORPORATE/VOLUNTEER GENERAL INFO
Traffic Safety School offers programs for volunteer students; that is, those who are not attending Traffic Safety School as a result of a ticket or violation in one of the counties we service. Volunteer students may choose to attend Traffic Safety School at their employers request, to enhance their driving ability or to obtain a discount on their auto insurance. If you have received a ticket in another county or jurisdiction you may be eligible to attend Traffic Safety School to have the ticket removed from your driving record. It is your responsibility to contact the Circuit Court in the County you received the violation to determine your eligibility to attend Traffic Safety School. It is also your responsbility to notify the Circuit Court of your completion of Traffic Safety School, and to provide a copy of your Certificate of Completion as proof you attended Traffic Safety School. Volunteer students should be aware that taking a class may affect their eligibility to take a Traffic Safety School class to remove a ticket or violation from their record should they receive such a violation within twelve months of completing Traffic Safety School. Volunteer students should complete the Volunteer Enrollment Form located in the Forms section of this website, and mail or fax it to Traffic Safety School along with their payment for enrollment. Please be aware that Traffic Safety School Classes are assigned 5-8 weeks in advance of the class date.
Corporations may wish to send their employees who drive as part of their jobs to Traffic Safety School to improve their driving skills. Corporations who want their employees to attend Traffic Safety School can do so in two ways. If you wish your employees to enroll as individuals in a regular Traffic Safety School class that best suits their own location and schedule, you can establish a billing account by sending an authorization letter similar to the “Sample Billing Authorization Letter” in this section. The Billing Authorization Letter should be on your company letterhead, should list the name and address for Traffic Safety School to remit invoices to, and should indicate that you understand the current course fees (see the “Fees” section under the “Courses” heading). Once you have established an account your employees can call Traffic Safety School, identify themselves as employees of your company, and arrange to enroll in whatever class time and location is most convenient for them. We will send a monthly invoice to your company for these employees fees. If you do not wish to establish an open account you can include on your billing letter the names of specific employees you authorize to attend Traffic Safety School. Please have each of these employees fill out the Volunteer Enrollment Form indicating their preferences for location and day of class, and send or fax the completed forms along with your Billing Authorization Letter. Please be aware that if an employee schedules a Traffic Safety School class and fails to attend, they are required to pay a rescheduling fee before they can be scheduled into a different class. Traffic Safety School can also arrange to conduct special classes for an entire group of employees at your location. Your company is responsible for providing a suitable classroom facility. The advantage of this approach is that we will schedule a class at your convenience and can incorporate company-specific material that you and/or your risk managers may want added to the present curriculum. If you wish to arrange for such a corporate Traffic Safety School class you are required to preregister the employees who will be attending and prepay for the class. To arrange for a class at your location, please contact the Instruction Specialist at (847) 467-6826. |
