You can begin this course after successfully completing Accident Investigation Online or in class.
This newly developed accident investigation course provides you with a comprehensive study of the skills needed to systematically investigate traffic collisions. You will be presented with the same techniques that are taught in our on-campus Accident Investigation 2 course, using the same textbook and course materials. You will learn to make measurements, sketches, after-accident diagrams and photographs of the accident scene. You will also be expected to complete similar field projects. Accident Investigation 2 Online is interactive and provides you with instructors to guide you through the process and grade your projects and exams.
By successfully completing the online course you will be prepared to attend Northwestern University Center for Public Safety’s entire reconstruction series on-campus.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
If you have some technical experience and are able to work without the benefit of group projects and constant direction, this program is for you. By taking the first course online, you save money on travel and lodging and are then able to afford to continue on in the series of accident investigation courses on campus.
